South Scottsdale/Old Town Scottsdale

The South Scottsdale/Old Town Scottsdale area has rapidly become one of the Metropolitan Phoenix area's most desireable places to live.  Originally considered the art hub in the Valley, city planners and developers have done a remarkable job in attracting corporate businesses, restaurants, and a large amount of entertainment venues to Scottsdale.   This, in turn, has catapulted the desireabilty to live in the South Scottsdale/Old Town area.

Although this area, traditionally, has been comprised of 1960's and 1970's built block homes and condos, it has experienced huge growth and development of upscale lofts, townhomes, as well as redeveloped and remodled upscale housing.  The same can be said for many of the original businesses in Old Town Scottsdale.  They have managed to keep their traditional charm with a contemporary face.

Geographically speaking, this portion of Scottsdale borders Tempe to the South, pretty much down to the Salt River/202 Freeway; it borders Arcadia to the West, around 60th Street, and ends to the East at the 101 Freeway.  The Northern boundary is less defined, but you can usually define the South Scottsdale/Old Town area as being just a bit North of Camelback.
